MEET YOUR PEP-RJ BOARD

Scott is Director of Marketing, Communications and Program at Congregation Rodeph Sholom in New York City.  ​ Scott spent 14 years at the Union for Reform Judaism where he directed the marketing and communications for camp and youth programs. He also served as the director of marketing and communications at the Jewish Community Project of Lower Manhattan. ​ Scott is a graduate of the University of Texas at Austin where he studied advertising and digital media. He is an alumnus and lifetime member of NFTY and has been a camper, staff member, faculty member and camp committee member at the URJ Greene Family Camp in Texas and the former URJ Kutz Camp in New York.

Matthew is Membership and Data Specialist at Temple Israel of Boston.    Originally from San Antonio, Texas, Matthew was a camper and staff member at the URJ Greene Family Camp. He attended Brandeis University where he double majored in math and economics. He continued on at Brandeis attending the Hornstein Jewish Professional Leadership Program earning his master's in business administration and Jewish professional leadership. Before joining Temple Israel, Matthew was a senior research associate at the Cohen Center for Modern Jewish Studies.    Matthew lives in Newton, Massachusetts, and is active in the Boston Jewish Community. He enjoys baking and spending time outside.

Ori is Director of Communications at Washington Hebrew Congregation. Over the years, Ori has had a wide and varied career, with stops at NPR, AOL, Park City Television, and the federal government. This is his first job in a Jewish organization. Ori has a B.A. in Communications and History from the University of Michigan, and serves as an Alumni Student Recruiter. He is also a volunteer consultant to EQuip Our Kids, promoting social-emotional learning programs and resources. When he’s not wordsmithing or strategizing, you can find him playing soccer, reading, walking the dog, or helping his wife Lisa with her matchmaking business.

Sarah is the Programming & Marketing Director at Congregation of Reform Judaism in Orlando. Prior to joining the CRJ team, Sarah worked professionally in the camping world as the Senior Camp Director at Shalom Orlando; she also worked previously at two other JCCs as a camp professional.    ​ Sarah received her B.S. in Business Administration from SUNY Buffalo and received a M.S. in Education from The College of Saint Rose. She grew up going to URJ Eisner Camp and worked at URJ Crane Lake Camp for 8 summers. She loves living in Florida, a place where it is sunny year-round and doesn't ever see snow. In her free time, you can find Sarah baking (ask and she will bake you some delicious goodies), trying out a new restaurant, playing mahjongg or visiting Disney World and Universal in her spare time.

Stephanie Schwartz, RJE, is Director of Programming and Member Engagement at Temple Israel of Westport in Connecticut.    Stephanie started her career as a Jewish professional 25 years ago as a director of education, youth, and camps, primarily at Reform congregations in Los Angeles. ​ Stephanie grew up active in NFTY and attended URJ Camp Harlam as a second-generation camper and staff member. She also enjoyed being a faculty member at URJ Camp Harlam as well as her involvement as faculty member and programming director of URJ 6 Points Sports Academy – California. ​ Stephanie started her college studies at the University of Kansas and later transferred to Virginia Tech, where she received a bachelor's in interior design. She also studied at American Jewish University, where she received a master’s in education. Stephanie enjoys traveling, photography, playing Mahjong, and cooking in her spare time.

Elizabeth serves as Assistant Director of Engagement and Communications at The Temple in Atlanta, Georgia. She joined The Temple in Atlanta in 2006 as youth education coordinator and continued with the education team for 16 years coordinating the congregation's education and family programming including all school programs and Religious School logistics and communications.    Originally from Cincinnati, she grew up as a member of Wise Temple, attended Indiana University where she majored in Jewish studies and religious studies. Throughout high school and college, she was active in her youth group at Wise, NFTY-OV, and Hillel. ​ Since arriving in Atlanta, Elizabeth has served on the board of Jewish Family & Career Services and on the Atlanta Jewish Film Festival Selection Committee, and she was a PAL (Jewish Big Brothers/Big Sister Program). She currently serves on the year-round volunteer team for Camp Jenny as the operations director.

Andrew Paull is the Director of Membership and Leadership Development at Temple Emanu-El in Dallas, TX. Prior to this role, he worked in youth, teen, and Jewish education and engagement for 15 years across Texas and New York. Andrew holds a B.A. in History from Chapman University, a Graduate Certificate in Jewish Education from HUC-JIR, and an M.A. in Youth Studies from the City University of New York. He lives in Dallas with his wife and two children.

Cindy is the Director of Member Engagement at Temple Kol Emeth in Marietta, Georgia. ​ She has launched a few initiatives including Kehillot (a small groups program), “KIDdish Klub” for preschool engagement, and a new member onboarding process. She enjoys helping people connect their talents and passions with volunteer opportunities, both within the congregation and in the broader community. Temple Kol Emeth has taken a lead in fighting antisemitism in Cobb County, Georgia, and Cindy has taken an active role in interfaith activities at the congregation. ​ She has a B.A. in Jewish Studies from Emory University and a M.A. in Jewish Communal Service from the Hornstein Program at Brandeis University. Cindy has worked for both national organizations (including the Schusterman Family Foundation and BBYO) as well as several different synagogues. Originally from St. Louis, Cindy is still a die-hard Cardinals baseball fan, and when she’s not working, you can find her watching a game online, making challah, or hanging out with her nephews. Cindy enjoys working with her colleagues from around the country to help elevate the incredible work everyone is doing.
